Rail Trail Pumpkin Walk

There will be a Pumpkin Walk on a portion of the Rail Trail, October 13, 2018 from 6 pm - 9 pm Donation $5.00. Enjoy a 0.5-mile, round-trip, walk on the Heritage Rail Trail, beginning and ending at the Seven Valleys Parking Lot. The Trail will be decorated & lighted with hand-carved pumpkins. Collection Update:Labor Day Holiday

Due to the Labor Day Holiday, all Residential Penn Waste collections will be delayed one (1) day. Monday customers will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday and so on for the remainder of the week through Saturday.

Borough Council Adopts Property Maintenance Code

On August 7, 2018, Borough Council adopted an ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF SEVEN VALLEYS TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THOSE STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS KNOWN AS THE “ICC INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE 2006”. Copies of the Code are on file in the Borough Office and is also available on the Borough website.

Cherry St Resurfacing

Work will begin on the Cherry St resurfacing project in mid September. Yohe Paving, Inc was awarded the work at a cost of $73,741.25.

NEW RECYCLING GUIDELINES


Starting immediately there are new recycling guidelines. Due to the Recycle Crisis that is impacting the entire country, Penn Waste is returning to a Back to Basics approach going forward to help them improve the excessive contamination they have been seeing. The new motto is "When in doubt, throw it out". No longer accepted: shredded paper, cereal boxes, magazines, junk mail etc. Check the guidelines.
